Politically highly controversial userpage. Wikipedia is not a soapbox. This user has made few encyclopedic contributions (7 edits since February), not all of which are constructive.[1] This user has been in trouble before over their userpage - see Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive189#Userpage, and removed a prod as "vandalism" [2] Hut 8.5 20:35, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
- Delete - much too inflammatory, and ANI trouble, assumption of bad faith with the removal of the PROD notice, along with very few positive contributions makes me lean towards delete—arf! 05:58, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
- Weak Keep - it's a little inflammatory, to be sure, but then again strong political opinions tend to be. In cases like this, I tend to err on the side of letting user's control their own pages. --Haemo 06:27, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
Delete - inactive editor and too inflammatory. The assumption of bad faith didn't help either. Addhoc 11:44, 18 June 2007 (UTC)- Neutral - improved enough. Addhoc 12:44, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- Delete - Limited constructive contributions coupled with inflammatory comments and edits. Delete. Doobuzz 11:57, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
- Delete - Wikipedia is not a soapbox. Mystytopia 22:51, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
- Keep it is a userpage. Lets not get involved in other peoples business on their userpage.--SefringleTalk 04:58, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- Note guys, if you like i could tone it down a bit, just tell me what u think i should delete --Boris 1991 10:34, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- Try getting rid of most of the political content. Userpages are primarily there to ease collaboration between editors, so they should be mainly about stuff related to Wikipedia, and you can include things such as what you work on here and your interests. A brief statement of your political views is fine, but not too much and not too inflammatory. Generally, more active and productive editors are given more leeway on what they can have on their userpage. Hut 8.5 16:58, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- Keep the page, delete some of the most inflammatory userboxes such as the ones about the British Empire. YechielMan 16:31, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, i will delete the british empire userboxes as soon as this deletion thing ends --Boris 1991 19:08, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- If you clean up the userpage sufficiently before the close of this discussion then I am willing to withdraw the nomination. Hut 8.5 20:12, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
- In addition to the boxes there is some inflammatory txt on the page, so that part should go too. DGG 20:41, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
*K, have removed the stuff --Boris 1991 07:05, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- I think the userbox about Iran needs to be removed or reworded as well, as currently it incites nuclear war. Hut 8.5 10:35, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- Comment -the user box is equivalent to User:Sefringle/Opposes Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, which would require a separate MfD. Addhoc 12:44, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, I didn't notice that - it's not transcluded. Hut 8.5 17:04, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
